There's a Newsarama article I read that Brett Ratner (of X-Men: The Last Stand fame) would direct the 'Youngblood' film.
For the uninitiated, 'Youngblood' is a superhero comic book series created by the infamous Rob Liefeld and was published by Image Comics waaay back in the 90's. Many fans of that time (unfortunately, me included) bought the early issues like crazy thinking it'd be good investment and be gazillionaires by the age of 30. But, alas, not only is the first issue soooo worth only about toilet paper now, the plot and story was reprehensible that Garth Ennis' and Darick Robertson's The Boys look absolutely cooler!
And now the Hollywood honchos want to make a movie out of this?
Will this insanity ever end?
